Manipur CM warns against rumour-mongering on social media

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Wednesday issued a stern warning against the spread of misinformation on social media, which he claims is fueling enmity between communities already strained by recent unrest.
In a public address, he stated, "I have come to know that some miscreants are spreading rumours through social media to create enmity between two communities. I have instructed concerned departments to identify the culprits."
The government has pledged to take stringent action against those attempting to disrupt peace in the region, emphasizing its commitment to maintaining communal harmony.
