State chief minister assures every possible help to the family of detained BSF jawan

State chief minister Mamata Banerjee today called up the wife of Purnam Shaw, the BSF jawan detained by Pakistan Rangers after straying across the international border, over the phone, and assured all help for his return.
Speaking to Rajani Shaw, a Rishra resident, over the phone, Miss Banerjee assured her that she will personally look into the matter and take necessary steps for the safe return of Purnam.
The state chief minister assured every possible help to the family, including meeting the medical needs of her father-in-law, mother-in-law and Rajani herself who is expecting a child. Necessary help will also be provided towards the daily needs of the family. The state chief minister asked her to keep in touch with Rishra Municipality chairman Vijay Sagar Mishra and Serampore MP Mr Kalyan Banerjee, and said she will stay apprised of the family in distress through them.
The chief minister told Rajani: "Dont worry. I am with you always. Be patient, Purnam Shaw will be back soon."
The detention of Purnam Shaw, a resident of Rishra, by Pakistani Rangers on 24 April came as a shocking development for his family in Rishra, as well as for the people of the entire constituency.
