Siliguri emerges as a real estate powerhouse in eastern India: MP

Siliguri's real estate market is rapidly evolving into a key hub for the sector in Eastern India, Darjeeling MP Raju Bista said today at a mega seminar hosted by the Siliguri Taxation Bar Association (STBA).
Addressing industry professionals, tax experts, and stakeholders, Mr Bista highlighted the region's unprecedented growth, with demand for properties far outpacing supply.
The seminar, organised by the STBA—North Bengal's oldest and most esteemed professional body for tax experts, boasting over 475 members—focused on critical topics such as GST Provisions & Implications on Real Estate and Income Tax Provisions & Implications on Real Estate.
The event underscored the transformative role of policy reforms and Siliguri's strategic location in shaping the region's real estate landscape.
