ParaSafe, an arm of Paracoat, has made inroads into Eastern India with the launch of its innovative Road Safety Experience Zone in Kolkata this Independence Day.

- RITWIK MUKHERJEE

The company's strategic entry into the Eastern market aims to enhance road safety with innovative, BIS-certified products that address key safety challenges faced by daily commuters, children, and professional riders.

As a leader in road safety, ParaSafe is committed to improving road safety standards in Kolkata and instilling public confidence in safer mobility.

As part of its Eastern India expansion, ParaSafe has launched a comprehensive road safety campaign, actively engaging with local communities, resident welfare associations (RWAs), schools, mobility partners, and regional ambassadors to spearhead the road safety movement.

With the belief that safety is not a privilege, but a right, these customers will be invited to exclusive pre-launch demos, safety workshops, and experience zones in the city.

Speaking to The Statesman, Rajesh Poddar, CEO at ParaSafe, explains how ParaSafe focuses on developing, innovative, accessible, and advanced safety solutions for manufacturers, and the general public and how it endeavors to reduce road crash injuries and fatalities by 50 per cent before 2030, in line with the Government of India and the World Health Organization's (WHO) vision.

Excerpts:

Q: Why did ParaSafe choose to focus on road safety?

A: Road crashes have long been India's silent epidemic.

Millions of us use roads every day and more than 474 families don't get back home, day after day.

Road crash deaths are the biggest cause of unnatural deaths for Indians and as leadership of the automotive industry we can't leave it unattended.
