IPL: Gujarat Eye Top-Two Finish as Chennai Shift Focus to Future

Former champions Gujarat Titans will look to work on their shortcomings from their previous loss, as they gear up for the IPL 2025 playoffs with one eye on securing a top-two spot when they take on already-eliminated Chennai Super Kings in their final league match in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad has kept the doors open for the Titans to stake a claim over the top two spots. A win against CSK will take them to 20 points and ensure a top-two berth, giving them two shots at making the final.
For CSK, already out of playoff contention, the focus will remain on building for the future as they look to test younger players and combinations in what has been a season of mixed returns. Chennai are expected to give more game time to young talents like Ayush Mhatre, Urvil Patel, and Dewald Brevis.
