Himachal Pradesh: Opposition BJP walks out of Assembly over death of Chief Engineer

The opposition BJP walked out of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly on Thursday over the death of Vimal Negi, a chief engineer with the Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation (HPPCL).
Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur raised the issue, before the convening of the question hour, alleging that Negi was mentally tortured by the corporation's management, leading to his death.
Thakur demanded a CBI probe into the matter, while the government assured that it would conduct a fair investigation and take action against those responsible.
