Equity mutual funds record strong surge with net inflows rise around 80 pc: AMFI

In July, the equity mutual funds recorded a strong surge in investor interest with net inflows rising by around 80 percent on month-on-month to touch a record high of Rs 42,672 cr, data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) showed.

In June, it was at Rs 23,568 cr in June. The data further revealed that the Rs 30,416 cr has come through new fund offerings. Small cap funds were the biggest contributors to the inflows, drawing in Rs 6,484 cr during the month. Mid Cap Funds attracted Rs 5,182 cr, while Large & Mid Cap Funds saw Rs 5,035 cr in net inflows.
