Dilip Ghosh Meets Suvendu Adhikari Amid Speculation Over Bengal BJP Leadership Change

Amid heightened speculation regarding the next West Bengal BJP state president, former state chief and ex-MP Dilip Ghosh made an unanticipated visit to the Assembly today, meeting Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari.
This meeting has intensified political discussions within the party, especially with Ghosh's name being proposed by some BJP leaders for the top post.
The meeting follows a tense BJP coordination session on Monday, where disagreements among party members over the leadership issue came to the fore. Sources revealed that a South Bengal MP suggested Ghosh's name for the role of state president. However, this proposal met with strong opposition from the incumbent state chief Sukanta Majumdar and Suvendu Adhikari, leading to a reported verbal clash among MPs.
On the other hand, another South Bengal MP advocated for extending Majumdar's term by an additional year.
