A city-based entrepreneur, Piyush Jaju, is all set to take on an extraordinary challenge this March by participating in the Antarctica Marathon.
Facing sub-zero temperatures and intense chilly winds, Piyush would be the only Indian representative in this edition of the race among a select group of 150 participants.
The upcoming marathon is a grueling 42-kilometer race in one of the planet's most extreme environments.
Global warming has led to alarming levels of polar ice melting, causing rising sea levels that threaten catastrophic consequences for coastal areas and ecosystems worldwide.
The Antarctica Marathon is an event for endurance athletes, blending physical challenge with environmental consciousness.
