After years of demand and repeated agitations by locals, the long-awaited railway over-bridge (ROB) at Rangapani in Siliguri has finally received the green signal.

Relief for Rangapani: Railways sanctions ROB

The ministry of railways has sanctioned Rs 69.79 crore for the project to replace the congested level crossing between Nijbari and Rangapani stations. The revised estimate is nearly Rs 20 crore, higher than the earlier sanction, and the entire cost will be borne by the Indian Railways.
