Pandua teacher raises more than 25 varieties of mango trees in his farm house

A school teacher from Benepara in Pandua, Mr Partha De, having great passion for fruit-bearing trees, has raised more than 25 varieties of mango trees, some of Indian origin and some from abroad.

Pandua teacher raises more than 25 varieties of mango trees in his farm house

At present, a mango grove occupies his farm land adjacent to his residential house. Other fruit trees such as Vietnamese red jackfruit, custard apple, sapodilla, wax apple, and lychee share a part of his mango grove.

Mr Partha said, "I have spent a huge amount to procure the different varieties of mango saplings which are not of Indian origin and have put a lot of effort and care to raise them in our climatic conditions."

Mango lovers can really enjoy the different varieties of mangoes over here which are not common in India. Students of Botany too can gather good knowledge about mangoes of different varieties found around the world from here.

Some of the mango types found in the orchard are mangoes like Miyazaki, American Kent, Chang Mai, Bunai King, Yellow Ivory, Banana Mango.
