Newly-constructed traction substation charged in Sealdah South Suburban section

A significant milestone was achieved in Sealdah South Suburban section under Sealdah division on Wednesday with the successful charging of a newly constructed HOTOR/traction substation (TSS), and completion of joint metre testing and joint reading by railway officials in collaboration with representatives from West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL) and West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL).
According to Eastern Railway sources, the crucial infrastructure development is poised to significantly augment the redundancy of the traction power distribution network, effectively addressing and mitigating the recurring issue of low overhead equipment (OHE) voltage, particularly in the BRP-DH sect
