The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Nepal's national tourism organisation, has announced that peace, stability and normalcy have been fully restored across the country following weeks of youth-led political protests and upheaval.

Tourism, one of Nepal's most vital economic sectors, was severely disrupted after mass demonstrations against corruption, rising prices and internet restrictions escalated into violent clashes with security forces.

In a press statement issued on Saturday, the NTB said daily life has resumed smoothly under the new leadership. "With the formation of an interim government under the premiership of Sushila Karki, businesses and offices are open, and citizens are returning to their livelihoods with renewed optimism after weeks of curfews and travel restrictions," the NTB stated.
