Major gift for Agra in Namami Gange meeting: ₹126 crore sewerage management project approved

An ambitious sewerage management project worth 126.41 crore has recently been approved for the historic city of Agra, Uttar Pradesh in the 63rd Executive Committee meeting of the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG).
Officials here on Thursday said this project will play a vital role in cleaning and preserving the city's water sources and in environmental conservation for decades to come.
Under this project, 40 interception and diversion structures will be constructed to enhance the efficiency of the city's sewer network. Additionally, 21.20 km of interception and diversion sewer lines will be laid to ensure proper management of sewage from different areas.
