CM Reddy calls for Padma award for departed Telangana poet Ande Sri

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday appealed to BJP leaders and Union ministers G Kisan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar to confer Padma Sri on Telugu poet Ande Sri, who passed away yesterday.
He said that the state government would write to the Centre urging it to confer the award on the poet who inspired the statehood movement with his numerous songs, particularly the state anthem "Jaya Jayahe Telangana".
