Amanjot, Renuka return; no place for Shafali Verma in India's WC squad

Fast bowler Renuka Singh and all-rounder Amanjot Kaur have returned from injuries to earn spots in India's 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Women's ODI World Cup, starting 30 September.
The selectors, however, left out Shafali Verma (photo), who has been out of favour in the ODI set-up since last year, along with Tejal Hasnabis, Shuchi Upadhyay and Sayali Satghare, all of whom featured in the recent ODI series against England.
Meanwhile, Amanjot will not play the three-match ODI series against Australia that precedes the World Cup. India captain Harmanpreet Kaur revealed that the all-rounder is currently at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence "working on a few small niggles."
