Zubeen Garg case: CID expands probe, autopsy report submitted

The probe into the death of Assam’s beloved singer and cultural icon Zubeen Garg is moving forward with renewed intensity, as the Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) continues to unravel key leads both in India and abroad.

Briefing the media on Monday, Special DGP and SIT Chief Munna Prasad Gupta stated that the investigation is progressing “rapidly and in full accordance with legal procedures.”

Several key individuals connected to the case have already been questioned, with more expected in the coming days.

“In the next two days, more people will arrive. There is also a possibility that one individual from Singapore will arrive today,” Gupta said, hinting at the expanding international dimension of the case.

Amid widespread speculation regarding the postmortem findings, Gupta clarified that the report will not be made public as previously rumoured.
