Usha Padhee appoints Odisha govt's first woman chauffeur

In a groundbreaking move for gender inclusion in governance, senior IAS officer Usha Padhee has appointed Sandhya Rani Majhi from Mayurbhanj as one of her official drivers — making her the first woman to serve as a government chauffeur in Odisha.
Principal secretary Padhee, known for her trailblazing career as the first woman CMD of Pawan Hans Ltd and the first woman Director General of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, has once again led by example — this time in promoting dignity of labour and challenging entrenched gender norms.
