TN CM Stalin leads rally in support of Armed Forces; welcomes ceasefire

Leading a massive rally by holding the national tricolour to express solidarity and support with the Armed Forces engaged in Operation Sindur against Pakistan, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and ruling DMK president MK Stalin on Saturday welcomed the ceasefire saying 'may peace endure'.
Despite the announcement of the ceasefire, the rally was held as scheduled from the DGP office on the Marina seafront to the War Memorial near Island grounds ahead of the state secretariat, Fort St George. Besides Stalin's cabinet colleagues, leaders of the DMK's allies and officials, a large contingent of the police and the general public as well as students enthusiastically took part in the four km-long rally.
