Struggling SRH eye course correction vs resurgent Titans

Having suffered three consecutive losses in their first four games of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, last season's finalists Sunrisers Hyderabad will be desperate to revisit their ultra-aggressive batting template and hope to turn things around when they take on a confident Gujarat Titans at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday.

In the build-up to the 18th season of the IPL, Sunrisers Hyderabad were tipped as one of the most dangerous batting units, with a top order boasting Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan (who slammed a century in their opener), backed by a powerful middle order featuring Nitish Kumar Reddy, Heinrich Klaasen, and Aniket Verma.

However, as the season unfolded, SRH's star-studded batting line-up has struggled to live up to the hype.

While the potential for destruction remains, the consistency has been missing. While their no-holds-barred approach worked in the season opener in which they put up a massive 286, SRH's template flopped in the next three games with team totals of 190, 163, and 120.

The team has faltered even on good batting surfaces like those in Visakhapatnam and Kolkata, exposing their vulnerabilities against disciplined bowling attacks.
