RBI Signs MoU With FIU-IND To Curb Money Laundering, Suspicious Transactions

In a step towards curbing money laundering, and as part of continued coordinated efforts in effective implementation of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and Rules, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND) and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
With the MoU coming into play, the entities will cooperate with each other in the areas of mutual interest where they will share relevant intelligence and information, available in their respective databases.
