PMO Overriding State's Powers on Mines & Natural Resources: Samantara

The double engine government is running roughshod over all provisions and statutes and mines are being given for industrial and commercial use on instructions from the PMO, alleged eminent social activist Prafulla Samantara, Lingaraj and Narendra Mohanty on Saturday.
Addressing a media conference, they regretted that the state government led by tribal leader Mohan Charan Majhi is completely remote controlled by the PMO. The PRAGATI platform (Pro-Active Governance And Timely Implementation) has served as a new instrument of centralizing decision making involving the PMO, they alleged.
PRAGATI dictates to handover the natural resources of the state like mines and land to private companies ignoring people's right over resources and the state's federal power, they said.
