External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, who arrived on Monday, lauded the meticulous preparations made by the Odisha government for the three-day extravaganza.

Expressing confidence in the success of the event, he said, "I have been in close contact with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and his team regarding the preparations for PBD, scheduled to begin on 8 January. The CM assured me that all arrangements have been completed. The Prime Minister will also grace the occasion. I am certain it will be a grand and memorable PBD."

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who received the External Affairs Minister at the airport, reiterated the state's commitment to ensuring the event's success.

"The Prime Minister has emphasized the importance of this event, and we have left no stone unturned.
