Manufacturing to reach 25 pc of India's GDP by 2047: Report

India aims to shift from assembly-led growth to technology-led value creation, targeting a rise in manufacturing’s share of GDP from the current ~17 per cent to nearly 25 per cent by 2047, said a joint report by Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and venture capital firm Z47.
Titled “Digitising Make in India3.0: Design-Led, Digitally Powered, Made for the World,” the study identifies priority sectors, policy gaps, and actionable pathways to elevate Indiaintoa global manufacturing powerhouse. The report outlines an ambitious blueprint for India’s manufacturing transformationas the country advances toward its Viksit Bharat 2047 goal.
