This two-day event will conclude on the 19th of January. This time the topic of the conclave is 'Sustainability Education towards Vikshit Bharat: Role of BPUT Odisha'.

Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, the newly appointed Director in Charge of Rourkela Steel Plant, Alok Verma, was impressed with the arrangement of the conclave. He was of the opinion that, "this kind of conclave is the need of the hour. This will definitely give all the stakeholders—the students, the faculty, and the companies participating in this conclave—a wonderful platform to forge a relation for the future."

Verma was hopeful that, "it will be of help to all, including the university in preparing a ground for future technocrats of the country."

Earlier, Professor Bikramaditya Das spoke briefly about the objective of the conclave. He explained that the main objective of the platform is to bring the academics and industry together for the benefit of all.

ADM Rourkela, Ashutosh Kulkarni, noted that the administration also faces many problems and hurdles. The problems of industry and academics are different from that of the administration. He further added, "I request all here to think about how to tackle some of the problems like drainage, water crisis, use of solar systems, etc., which the administration is trying to solve. Your expertise and innovative ideas could help the administration and make the society a better place."

Vice Chancellor of BPUT, Dr Amiya Kumar Rath, welcomed all to the gathering. He said, "I and my team dream of creating a New BPUT and I look forward to positive contributions from all."

Over 200 students from 60 colleges with an equal number of faculties and 50 companies are participating in this conclave. There are seven technical sections within the span of the two days of the conclave where discussions will be held on various topics.
