Historic says JP Nadda at launch of co-branded PMJAY & GJAY cards

In a significant boost to public healthcare access in Odisha, Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi jointly launched the co-branded health cards under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and the Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana (GJAY) here on Friday.
In a significant boost to public healthcare access in Odisha, Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi jointly launched the co-branded health cards under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and the Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana (GJAY) here on Friday. The Ayushman Vaya Vandana Yojana, aimed at senior citizens, was also inaugurated during the event. Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Juel Oram, State Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, several MPs, MLAs, and senior officials were present.
Describing the day as historic for Odisha, Nadda said AB PM-JAY remains the world's largest health coverage programme, benefiting over 62 crore people so far. With this launch, over 3.52 crore people in Odisha will now be covered under the free healthcare initiative. It is an assurance not an insurance scheme, he added.
