HC seeks affidavit from State, Centre on IB files on Netaji

The Orissa High Court asked the State and Centre to file replies through affidavits on a petition seeking direction for declassification of transfer to power agreement of year 1947 including of intelligence bureau secret files regarding Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and acceptance of the Justice Mukherjee Commission of Inquiry report on mysterious disappearance of the great freedom fighter.
The International Conference on Blue Economy in collaboration with Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster (BCKIC), BRIC-ILS and IIT Ropar brought together over 800 participants, including policymakers, researchers, and students from across the globe, to discuss the potential of marine ecosystems in advancing sustainable growth.
The event was marked by insightful discussions, exhibitions, and a renewed focus on leveraging Odisha's maritime heritage and resources. Fifty startups specializing in marine biotechnology, aquaculture, and tourism, reflecting Odisha's growing prominence in the blue economy landscape were showcased.
Deputy Chief Minister Ms Pravati Parida emphasised the state's strategic importance in India's blue economy vision. She said that with an extensive coastline of over 500 km, Odisha is poised to play a significant role in advancing India's maritime sector.
