Farmers Can Report Crop Damage by 1 January 2025: CM

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Monday that the deadline for farmers to report crop damage caused by unseasonal rains and claim compensation has been extended to 1 January 2025.
Initially set for 30 December, the deadline was first extended to 31 December and now further extended by one day to provide farmers additional time to report their losses. The Chief Minister stated that this decision followed his request to the central government, which agreed to the extension.
During his visits to affected areas, the Chief Minister repeatedly urged farmers to register their claims through the Agriculture Department App Krishi Rakhathar or by calling the toll-free helpline number 14447. He assured that assistance will be provided to both insured and uninsured farmers who have suffered crop losses.
