Ahmedabad Plane Crash: 163 Victims Identified Through DNA Tests Till Now

DNA samples of 163 passengers who lost their lives in the tragic London-bound Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad on June 12 were matched till now, while the 124 mortal remains of the victims were handed over to their families, an official said on Tuesday.
On June 12, the London-bound Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft crashed into a hostel complex of the BJ Medical College in the Meghani Nagar area of Gujarat's Ahmedabad shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, killing 241 passengers and crew out of 242 on board, including former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, along with several people on the ground, many of them resident doctors.
