Teamwork and determination shape Natasha Mathe's Matric success

NATASHA Mathe from Lufhereng Secondary School describes her matric year as the most exciting, depressing and most of all fun.

Matric taught her an important lesson about teamwork because she is naturally antisocial.

She spent most of her time at school instead of home.

“It was almost as starting a new life,” she says.

Despite the challenges, she survived and got to know her classmates better, learning about “their personalities and their smartness”.

Her proudest moment came when she received an invitation to the award ceremony.

“It was almost as if I was dreaming and my dream had come true,” she remembers.

She finished in position 5 overall in grade 12.
