Kaze demands focus as Chiefs break five-year hoodoo

Amakhosi arrived on the back of three consecutive wins and immediately imposed themselves on proceedings, dominating possession and territory from the first whistle.

The result sees Chiefs move to 42 points, opening a three-point gap over fourth-placed AmaZulu, while still holding two games in hand — a significant advantage in the race for continental qualification. However, co-coach Cedric Kaze has urged his sides to remain grounded despite reaching this significant milestone, warning that recent progress will count for little without sustained focus.

“We need to keep pressure, pressure on everyone, in training, out of training to recover well, sleep early and pull in the same direction,’ said Kaze.
