Multimedia personality Somizi Mhlongo has officially completed his studies at the Villioti Fashion Institute. Sharing the milestone on Instagram, he thanked his family, friends and fans for their support.

Celebs like Gert Johan Coetzee, Dr Rebecca Malope, and Vusi Nova took to the comments to congratulate him. Somizi recently closed the 2025 Durban Fashion Fair with a star-studded show featuring A-listers such as Sorisha Naidoo, Mihlali Ndamase and his daughter Bahumi Mhlongo.

American singer Mariah the Scientist is heading to South Africa for her debut performance. The WAV Festival, presented by Afro Nation, will take place on January 2, 2026, at Green Point Track in Cape Town.

The festival will also feature a mix of international and local acts, including Kelvin Momo, Shekhinah, Manana, Nanette, Kujenga and Yandani.

Controversial rapper Shebeshxt, real name Lehlogonolo Chauke, is under investigation after allegedly shooting a motorist in Polokwane during a road rage incident. The victim was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

Police confirmed that the confrontation escalated after both drivers pulled into a petrol station, leading to insults being exchanged before Shebeshxt allegedly drew a firearm and shot the man in the solar plexus.

The case of attempted murder has been transferred to Limpopo’s provincial murder and robbery unit.
