Exciting rugby season against Barbarians

The Star

|

June 23, 2025

ANOTHER exciting international rugby season for South Africa is set to kick off this weekend when the Springboks host the Barbarians in Cape Town.

In another blockbuster year, the world champions will play 14 matches, while an additional Test is on the cards but must still be confirmed.

However, 13 Tests and the invitational match against the Baabaas is not something to be scoffed at and it should give head coach Rassie Erasmus enough time to test players with two years to go to the next Rugby World Cup in Australia.
