Moore hoping for positive injury news ahead of Rovers clash

- Clive Youlton

PORT Vale will be without Jayden Stockley for “a few weeks” according to boss Darren Moore but there is better news on Jordan Shipley and Funso Ojo.

Ahead of tomorrow’s League One clash at home to Doncaster Rovers, the Valiants boss touched on injury concerns as well as the prospect of taking on Rovers while maintaining high performance levels.

He said at the pre-match press conference: “Jayden has a muscle injury and is out for a few weeks while Funso’s was a contact injury and we hope he will pull through.

“Jordan felt a tweak and had a muscle spasm [thigh]. We hope they will both be OK.”

Moore was hurt by the late drama against Stevenage - when Vale lost to two late goals. He said: “What we've learned, the game is never over when you think it’s over.

“You have to credit them for staying in the game. But it was another solid performance by us.
