DAJUANE Brown reckons he and his Port Vale teammates are "looking forward to putting things right on Sunday" as they face Maldon & Tiptree in the FA Cup first round.

A dispiriting 3-0 home reverse in League One against Stockport County will be fresh in the minds, but the forward thinks Vale have enough to overcome what he says will be a tough game against the Isthmian League North Division side.

"After the result on Monday everyone is looking forward to putting it right on Sunday and pushing through for the rest of the season really," Brown told the club.

"Immediately after the game the response was to be disappointed and be angry with ourselves, but I think that's a good thing because it allows us to turn it around.

"Obviously we do it in the right way by communicating right with each other, but yes, we have turned around, we bounce back and are ready to go."

Training for a whole week helps, and he added: "It's good to have that time in between to look at what we can do to better as a team.
