Contractor appointed for pioneering project
THE team behind pioneering town centre plans to convert a former multi-storey car park into 111 new homes have appointed a contractor to carry out the work.
Capital&Centric are transforming the 1960s Midway car park in Newcastle into 111 design-led homes - the first time a multi-storey is being repurposed into homes.
Now the developer - which has also overseen the impressive Goods Yard development near Stoke Station - has entered into a Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) with Clegg Construction for Karparc, marking a major step forward for the pioneering project.
With work set to start this autumn, the team will now be 'working through the nuts and bolts' to get everything ready for work to start.
