Former Potters manager believes Robins can be the man to revive the club
TONY Pulis is backing Stoke City to have finally found the stability they need with Mark Robins in the hot seat.
Stoke have had a different manager in place for each of the last four summers, with Robins following Steven Schumacher, Alex Neil and Michael O'Neill. Nathan Jones and Gary Rowett had both overseen one summer rebuild too since relegation in 2018.
But Pulis hopes and expects that “sensible” Robins will change that and, as a consequence, help lay the groundwork for the club to go in the right direction, even if no one will be getting ahead of themselves in terms of immediate ambitions.
“The important thing for Stoke is getting stability and with Mark Robins, hopefully they've got it,” said Pulis, who was in that same role at Stoke for the best part of the decade.
“They've got a manager who is sensible enough to understand what the club needs, how they need to go forward and what they need to go forward.
