Victim has spent £4k repairing his teeth
TWO thugs have been jailed after subjecting a man to a brutal unprovoked attack in broad daylight.
Grant Seymour, aged 31, and convicted killer Jakob Havard, aged 32, left their victim needing hospital treatment and a £4,000 dental bill after the assault outside a Biddulph shop at 10.30am.
Now both men have been jailed for 18 months at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.
Prosecutor Barry White said the victim went to the High Spirits shop in Kingsfield Road, Biddulph, at 10.30am on July 1, 2023 to buy bread.
Mr White said: “Outside the shop Seymour approached and punched him to the face. Havard joined in.”
The court heard the victim dropped his keys and Seymour picked them up and used them as a weapon to cut the man’s lip.
The assault also left the victim with a cut to his eyelid and a cracked tooth.
He has spent £4,000 repairing his teeth and he suffered £2,450 loss of earnings.
