Thug strangled and punched partner in 'frightening' attack

42-year-old plasterer called girlfriend 'fat' and 'ugly'

THUG Clint Jackson has been jailed after he strangled and beat up his girlfriend in her own home.

The 42-year-old struck his then-partner while her children were sleeping upstairs.

Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard heard he also called her 'fat' and 'ugly'.

Now Jackson, of Russell Street, Leek, has been locked up for 14 months and handed a three-year restraining order.

Prosecutor Brian Williams said Jackson and the victim had been arguing on the evening of April 10 which continued into the following morning.

After calling her names, she went to bed and he remained on the sofa downstairs.
