SORBA Thomas is back in England with a task of reproducing his Wales form for Stoke City and becoming a leading attacking threat in the division.

'Thomas has all the attributes to be a big success for the Potters'

The 26-year-old has joined Stoke from Huddersfield Town after spending last season on loan at Nantes in Ligue 1.

He has previously shown game-changing form in the Championship, most notably when he helped Huddersfield reach the 2022 playoff final, and he has really caught the eye over the last few months in a new role with Wales under Craig Bellamy.

"I am so intrigued what we're going to see from Sorba Thomas in a Stoke City shirt and what that could mean for the Wales national team going forward - because, quite frankly, I don't know," said EFL pundit Ali Maxwell for Wales football channel Dragon Sports.

"I watched Sorba Thomas's performances for Wales against Liechtenstein and Belgium, watched more from how he has played for Craig Bellamy in that Wales team and added to the fact last season at club level he played in France at Nantes where I didn't watch him week in, week out - and he looked like an entirely different player.

"I'm just wondering is that going to be confined to international football? Has Bellamy unlocked something special in Thomas that will be hard for Mark Robins to recreate or could Thomas be able to recreate that level week in, week out in the Championship - and if he does, he will establish himself as one of the key wide attacking threats in the league."

WHERE WILL MARK ROBINS PLAY THOMAS?
