Students use knowledge gained in innovative ways

THERE'S a real sense of excitement building across our Stoke-on-Trent campus as we get ready for one of the most meaningful moments in the university calendar.

Graduation is almost here and with it comes the chance to recognise the extraordinary efforts of our students, the support of their families and friends, and the commitment of our staff who've helped guide them to this point.

From Monday, we'll be hosting 21 ceremonies at our Stoke-on-Trent campus, welcoming back students who've worked incredibly hard to reach this stage.

Our university spaces will soon be filled with the buzz of celebration - gowns being collected, photos being taken, proud faces everywhere you look. It’s one of the few times in the year where you can truly see the journey come full circle.

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending our London graduation ceremony which takes place at Hackney Church.

Watching our students cross the stage, surrounded by people who had been with them on the journey, was a powerful reminder of what success really looks like. It’s not just about academic achievement - it’s about the commitment, the challenges overcome, and the moments that shaped them along the way.

I also had the honour of joining the Wilkes Academy of Performing Arts in Swindon for their graduation ceremony last week.

University of Staffordshire is proud to partner with Wilkes Academy in such an exciting and vibrant area as Performing Arts, and particularly Musical Theatre.
