Stalker gouged eye of terrified partner

41-year-old left unwanted gifts over four-month period

A BULLY boyfriend subjected his partner to a four-month campaign of abuse.

Daniel Carr was convicted of assault, stalking and beating an emergency worker.

Now Carr, of Maple Close, Norton Green, has been handed a 26-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.

North Staffordshire Justice Centre heard the 41-year-old lost his temper and lashed out against his partner on March 10.

Police were called and Carr chucked water in the arresting officer's face.

The father-of-two was released on bail - under the conditions he did not contact his ex again.

But Carr - who has seven convictions for 13 previous offences - ignored the court.
