48-year-old more than 3 times limit

- Sentinel Reporter

DRINK-DRIVER Anne Colclough knocked back a 'substantial' amount of wine before getting behind the wheel.

The 48-year-old mum-of-one had met her ex at The Holiday Inn, Clayton but left the venue after drinking.

She was stopped by police in Newcastle and provided police with a positive reading at the roadside. She was taken to custody where she was breathalysed and gave a reading of 106 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than three times the legal limit of 35.
