ROBINS HOPING WORK PAYS OFF FOR POTTERS

MARK Robins says Stoke City are still working towards 'a number of different' transfer targets - while hoping that new signings like Aaron Cresswell can also help raise standards of players already in the building.

Robins is currently on a six-day training camp in Spain with his squad, including a behind-closed-doors friendly against Brighton this evening, as he oversees his first summer at the club.

He has welcomed four new arrivals so far - Sorba Thomas, Maksym Talovierov, Divin Mubama and Aaron Cresswell - and academy graduates are getting the chance to impress the manager as he weighs up filling remaining vacancies.

"Preseason is just a means to an end so while you want to win every game, you want to get through training and make sure that everyone gets through fit and ready to go," he said.
