Pundit claims plucky Potters ‘have all the answers’ so far

The Sentinel

BOSUN Lawal might have become a candidate for worst ever goal celebration but Championship pundit George Elek is liking the look of a ‘really impressive’ Stoke City team he thinks is answering any early season question.

Centre-half Lawal scored the winner for Stoke against Birmingham last weekend with a looping header from a corner, subsequently playing the corner flag like a guitar as he was mobbed by his teammates.

That was Stoke's fourth victory in their opening five matches of the season to sit second in the Championship table - and perhaps lay down a marker against a Birmingham side that has also been fancied in the opening few weeks.

“I think he must have meant it," said Elek on the Not The Top 20 podcast. “I don’t think it was just a case of getting it back in the area.
