Residents back idea after branch closure
PLANS: Amjarit Kaur Bhasin, co-owner of Stonebank Stores, Kidsgrove, wants to open a post office in the shop.
A CONVENIENCE store is set to become a post office, after the closure of a town's final branch.
The owners of Stonebank Stores on Stone Bank Road, Kidsgrove have made contact with the Post Office after being inundated with customers complaining that there is no branch in the town.
It follows the closure of the previous branch on The Avenue - last year.
