MAJOR developments at Stoke-on-Trent’s YMCA complex are being unveiled at a fun-filled day of activities.

One Big Stokie Day takes place on July 25 between 11am and 4pm and is a free event celebrating YMCA’s ‘unique relationship and position’ at the heart of the communities it serves.

A new youth hub and 46 new one-bedroomed apartments for young people - built at a time when attracting investment in the city is ‘challenging’ - launches yet another chapter in YMCA's long and successful history.

The event will feature an artisan market, arts and crafts, sports, lots of activities and a family feast will join in with the celebration of Stoke-on-Trent's centenary.

And visitors will have an opportunity to look around the youth hub and new accommodation.

The youth hub, funded from the £300 million Youth investment Fund with significant support from the Denise Coates Foundation, will feature spaces including:
