Charity appeal to take vulnerable families for day out at the beach
VULNERABLE families who have never seen the sea will be able to build sandcastles and go for a paddle thanks to a charity's latest fundraising campaign.
The Gingerbread Centre wants to help families with no home enjoy a day at a North Wales beach in the school summer holidays.
Children who attend its Activity Club - based at one of two supported living accommodations in Stoke-on-Trent - will be given the chance to join the trip.
Fundraising manager Jess Druce, left, said: "Our services are designed to provide compassionate care for vulnerable families.
