National praise for company working to stop loan sharks

EPIC joins with illegal money lending team
A HOUSING association has won national recognition for its work to help stop loan sharks from targeting vulnerable people in North Staffordshire
Bentilee-based EPIC has now become an official accredited partner to the England Illegal Money Lending Team (IMLT), known as Stop Loan Sharks.
The IMLT is a national organisation investigating and prosecuting loan sharks and supporting borrowers.
Mark Bourne, customer service team leader at EPIC, which owns about 1,400 homes across North Staffordshire, said: “We delighted to partner with the Illegal Money Lending Team and promote the work of Stop Loan Sharks to tenants and the wider communities.
