DARREN Moore has called for his Port Vale players to replicate their Birmingham City Carabao Cup heroics at Exeter today.

- Dan Newbould

Moore's men knocked out the heavily fancied big spending Championship side in the last round of the competition, but are still yet to win in the league after securing promotion at the end of the last campaign.

Hopefully that can change today at Exeter as Vale look to improve on their tally of two points.

Manager Moore said: “I keep saying to the boys at the moment we have to have a near on flawless display.

“We have to go back to a display that we had probably against Birmingham City in the cup where it was a high level display.

“That's the kind of performance we are looking for from the first second, not the first minute, to the last second however the referee deems that. That's where we are. That's what we have to keep pushing and striving to try and get.
